Dr. Weijie Violet Lin is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who joined EPS in 2025. Her practice interests include corneal diseases and corneal surgery, cataract surgery, laser surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmology.
Dr. Lin graduated from Dartmouth College, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with double majors in Economics and Biology. She attended Baylor College of Medicine, graduating with the Alpha Omega Alpha Kuckein Research Scholarship, the Texas Medical Association Anson Jones MD Award for Physician Excellence in Reporting, and the Chinese American Doctors of Houston Virginia King Scholarship. She completed her internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center / Stanford University Hospitals, and her ophthalmology residency at Columbia University Medical Center, serving as chief resident in her final year. She went on to complete the Cornea Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Lin joined Eye Physicians and Surgeons after serving as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Department of Ophthalmology.
During her training, Dr Lin has received the Real World Ophthalmology Skilled Surgeon Award, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Resident Excellence Award, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Young Eye Surgeons Best of Posters Award, and the Young MD Connect Cornea Fellows Program First Place Winner. She also gave a TEDx Talk at Rice University about memory tools.
An author, co-author, and editor of numerous journal articles and book chapters, Dr. Lin has presented research talks and served as a surgical instructor at national and international conferences.
Dr. Lin has an interest in advocacy and health policy. She worked as a policy intern for American College of Physicians on Capitol Hill. She currently holds positions on the Government Relations Committee of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Advocacy Committee of the Cornea Society, and the American Medical Association House of Delegates.
